I am a trans guy and hearing impaired and find myself part of two minority groups, which can be overwhelmingly depressing. All the best on your life’s journey. You are still young and have a great life ahead of you. Take care of yourself.
Hi Kris, thanks for your comment. It is really difficult simply being hearing impaired, without putting trans on top of it, so I completely understand where you’re coming from. I’ve never, from the day I was born, heard sounds the same way that a non-hearing impaired person does, so it’s both exciting and overwhelming to begin to think about it. I’ll just have to see how it goes! Take care of yourself too.
I hope you get those hearing aids. The first time I wore mine (my hearing was fine till about late 30s and then it deteriorated, so I got the hearing aids in my 40s), I had to relearn sounds. I had completely forgotten what birds sound like, e.g. The sound was so overwhelming, I wanted to tear off the hearing aids, but I stuck with them. One is so isolated not being able to follow conversations. I hope we are going to read about your experience with your hearing aids soon! All the best.
I am transgender too. I have 9 moth one t.. yes is very hard and more before transformation … but lord always is there, he loves every one the way we are. . I was trying to kill my self before and sometimes I still thinking on it but when I think one day I can be out side the real man I am in side it make me feel better and happy

I think we are special people. . Very special. .
Hi Naomhan from a fellow Norn Irelander 🙂 I’ve been following your story recently on MyGenderarion and just came across your blog.
You have lots to teach and I’m glad for you to share your experiences and so happy to learn about non-binary issues so close to home.
Keep up the great work! Xx
